Graham HancoxI started my own practice in 1978 after graduating from the University of Wales.

Following early interests in Crown and Bridge, Endodontics (root treatments) and Periodontology, I developed a large implant referral practice.

My implant training began in 1990, a year long course run by Dr. Eddie Scher. I placed my first implants in 1991. Since then I have trained extensively with the International Team for Implantology (ITI) led by Prof. Danny Buser at Berne University.

I have hosted a regular ITI implant study club for the last 10 years, and have run several restorative days each year for referring dentists. I am a surgical tutor with Dr. Jonathon Schofield on his “Live Skills” week in Bath for Straumann, and a special lecturer on the surgical weeks for the Bristol University MSc in implantology.

In 2008 I sold the practice to Dr. Robert Mason, allowing me to work exclusively in the field of implantology, furthering my own knowledge and increasing the time spent on teaching to dedicated colleagues.

I was elected and awarded the International Team for Implantology Fellowship in 2009.
At the implant centre we offer both surgical and restorative aesthetic implant options for our own and referred patients, together with acting as a mentor for dentists from around the East Midlands wishing to include implant options into their everyday practice.
