I graduated from King’s College, London in 1980, and worked in a mixed private and NHS practice on the Sussex coast for nine years, becoming a partner in 1986.
After moving to the Midlands in 1989, I joined Graham's Ruddington practice, before joining the current practice in Radcliffe-on-Trent; at this time I was also working in the music industry as the finance director of a CD manufacturing plant, a post I left in 1997 to concentrate on full time dentistry.
I have always enjoyed working in private family practice, with a strong emphasis on prevention. I particularly like treating several generations of one family, allowing me to more fully understand my patients, and striving to help parents secure a healthy future for their children.
From a dental perspective, I have developed interests in crown and bridge, endodontics (root treatment) and ethical cosmetic dentistry. I am also interested in the newer therapies encompassed at the practice; such as the treatment of headaches and snoring.
In January of 2008 I bought the practice from Graham, allowing him to concentrate solely on implantology; at this time I incorporated the business as Dent Blanche Ltd.
On a personal note, I live in Leicestershire, am married to Rebecca, and have three children: Charlotte, 25, (the practice artist), Ned, 22, (soon to be the practice accountant), and Eleanor, 4, (who has yet to decide how she will pay her way).
My interests include hill walking, golf, skiing, reading novels, and watching sport (I am a Chelsea season ticket holder). I also enjoy all aspects of wine!
